2027: Opposition parties docile in terms of preparations – Sambo

Director of News and Politics Editor of Arise Television, Sumner Sambo, says opposition political parties in Nigeria seem to be inactive ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Sambo made this statement on Monday on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’.

He was speaking on the preparations of the opposition against the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming 2027 polls.

He said, “The opposition has been seemingly docile in terms of following what is required of them to participate in the next year’s general elections.

“I said this because in the National Assembly, we have minority caucuses in both the Senate and House of Representatives, and this e-registration legislation has been ongoing since last year.

“It’s curious how the opposition blames APC for having prior knowledge of this new INEC regulation, prompting APC to start its e-registration before other parties.”
